Mario met Jessica on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in a tiny neighborhood coffee shop tucked between a bookstore and a flower shop. He was drenched from forgetting his umbrella, and she was sipping a chai latte with a book in hand, tucked cozily by the window. When he clumsily slipped on the wet floor and nearly dropped his coffee, she laughed—softly but genuinely—and offered him a napkin. Their eyes met, and somehow, it felt like the sun peeked through the clouds just for them

A week later, after several flirty texts and one awkward phone call, Mario asked Jessica out. He took her to the city’s botanical gardens, figuring flowers and sunshine would suit her warm energy.

They wandered through blooming paths, getting lost in conversation about childhood memories, favorite movies, and guilty pleasure snacks. They ended the day on a park bench sharing a strawberry ice cream cone—he got some on his nose, she wiped it off, and neither of them wanted the moment to end.
